Hannah, Hannah, Hannah

Hannah, Hannah, Hannah, what can I say?  I love you but you are not the easiest baby girl!  I guess I'm not a big fan of the newborn stage.  I like the snuggles, just not 100% of the time.  I like how they sleep but I miss my night time sleep!  Since we've brought her home, it's been a test on our patience, energy, time, and sleep.  She is a cuddler and and ALWAYS wants to be held.  Now if she was my first child, no problem, but I have someone else to care for too, my Hud bud.  I literally couldn't put her down for a minute.  Luckily there were two of us.  Finally we'd get her settled down, on us, and then it would be time to feed her again.  She would get all "riled" up.  Sometimes we couldn't even calm her down.  In the middle of the night, on her long stretch, we would spend over 2 hours calming her down.  Ugh.  Luckily Jared is more patient than I am at wee hours in the morning.  Thank you hubs!  If she conked out, we would make sure Hudson couldn't touch her.  Ok, there were times I threatened time outs because she was rarely independent and his kisses smother the poor girl, waking her up.  He gets so sad when he can't kiss or hug her, I felt bad but needed a break!

This is one of the few times she was just "chill" on us the first few weeks:).  She is VERY active.  She was inside the womb and outside.  Squirmy is a great word to describe her.

Morning snuggles with daddy.  We've just gotten her to the point where she snuggles in the early morning, love it!  Then Hudson joins us and my cup is full of LOVE!

In the last week or so she has really started to track people and objects.  It's so fun to watch her!

She fought us hard when we swaddled her in the beginning.  It actually made her more upset but now this is how we signal nap time.  I swaddle her (straight jacket as my father calls it) and put her down either in the car seat or craddle/pack n play/crib.  

Her main look I call is the "frumpled" eye brow look.

She cries a lot:(.  This is one example.  Although she is mellowing in the last week.  She is going down for naps with out crying for well…a long time.  Ugh.

Most of the time I don't mind wearing her but when I'm trying to cook around a hot stove, no thank you!  She hopefully will learn to be independent soon:).  Just 15 minutes in the bouncer/swing/pack n play and I'm good!

This whole 2 kid thing is getting easier and easier.  Wow was it a reality check for me!  I'm so thankful for all the wonderful meals we were blessed with because the nursing issues and the crying, cooking wasn't happening!  I'm now feeling almost "human" again.  I planned my meals this week, yay!  Now to get to the grocery store...

Newborn, Family, & Sibling Pictures

One thing I get ridiculously excited about is pictures!  I was so excited to deliver Hannah so we could have family pictures taken:).  I chose the same photographer who did our farm pictures a year or so ago.  She loves the outdoors to photograph in so we met at Mirabeau Park.  I was a bit nervous because newborn pics outside, well it could be cold, etc.  Overall they turned out fabulously!  

She first started off with some Hudson shots.  She truly captured my boy at 3!

Since my wonderful dear friend made the cute caterpillar cocoon for Hannah, I had to read the Hungry Caterpillar book to Hudson!

All in all, I'm thrilled with how they turned out.  I didn't get my "purple" picture but Tiffany helped me out with that later:).

The Pumpkin Patch

This year I was able to go on Hudson's field trip to the pumpkin patch, again!  I was so excited.  Again, 3 is so much better than 2!  He didn't cry or cling to me this trip!  He was excited to see his friends and explore the pumpkin patch!

It was a great field trip and Hannah rocked the Ergo wonderfully!  I'm thankful for "smooth" days like this!  We ended with donuts and juice, YUM!
