Randomness Before Baby

After our week at Spirit with the Haaks, we headed to Priest for the night.  Our air still wasn't working and I wanted to be cool:).
Our neighbors at the lake offered to take Jared & Hannah out on the boat.  The twins, Charlie & Gracie, were using a ski trainer for the first time.  They asked if Hannah wanted to do it and she said yes happily.  It has two foot holes like a water ski and the handle is held up by a bar.  Hannah was waving and giving a thumbs up.  She thoroughly enjoyed herself!

Dinner time shenanigans

Hannah is using her apple peel as an apple phone.  The first iPhone!
Hudson had to reexplain all his hooks to Hannah.

Then we came home to an incredibly hot house.  We put the kids in the basement.  They were adorable and went right to bed:).

The next day started our 2 weeks of swim lessons.

Hudson has grown so much in the area of water.  Last year he struggled and was still fearful and the year he could swim the width and length!

He was the first one to go down the slide!  He couldn't wait until it was his turn!

Hannah & I did the mommy and me class.  She was ready for more but it was nice to have some time with her before baby arrived:).
Notice her pink dress?:).

Hudson's class was first so Hannah at her lunch while we watched brother.

Then while Hannah and I were swimming, Hud at his lunch.
It worked out great.  Hudson would often join us on the edge of the pool, cheering Hannah on:).

One downside to swim lessons is ear drops.  We are hoping for no ear infections this summer so we are doing proactive ear drops after each lesson.  The bonus: the kids got to watch a show!

One afternoon on the way home from swim, Hudson pulled his water bottle out and he noticed his tooth was loose.  He got a bit emotional about it until I told him that you get money for teeth when they fall out.  Then he asked if I had any tools to help pull it out:).

We gave him more for his first tooth.  From now on he'll just $1 or 2:).

We finally visited daddy at work!

Last pregnancy shot at 38 weeks.

Then it was lake time again for the 4th of July!
This is how my kids enjoy the car ride

Can you tell he's a bit attached/obsessed with fishing and his tackle box?!

That night we did a little fishing off the back of the boat.  Hannah said she wanted to come "Me too!" but she should have stayed home.  She was a bit too tired.

We caught one!

While trying to entertain Hannah from yelling "I want my Minnie and binky" I caved and gave her my phone.  It doesn't help on the middle of the lake...not much reception!

The next day Kacey & Kiely offered to take Hudson out fishing.  Aren't they the cutest!

Kiely thought they would be gone 20 minutes but it turned into 2 hours.  Hudson is a fishing machine.  Kiely offered him a snack and his reply was "Kiely we need to focus on our fishing!"

Meanwhile, Jared enjoyed doing our Farmall puzzle.

Joe had a few friends up to the lake and one brought a dog, DeeDee.  Hudson loved her!  He walked her around and she was the sweetest pooch.

Then it was time for fireworks.  Based on how Hannah handled fishing the night before she went to bed early:(.  Hudson and I went on the boat to watch the fireworks at Hills.

Happy 4th of July!  Thank you to those who fought for the freedoms we have today.
PS dog is not ours.

Before baby comes, we had to have a donut date!

One favorite activity is putting the kids little fishies, these fish that swim in the water, and run around in the pool.  Hours of fun!

One night while Jared was working late, we went to McDonalds.  We had the whole place to ourselves!  It was nice and ac filled!

Aren't these two the cutest?!

We're excited to grow by one more in the next few days!  Can't wait to find out what baby Haak is!  Hudson and Hannah now both want a sister:).  We shall see!

June Happenings

A few highlights in June:

1.  Kiely & Kacey Kiehn's Wedding
Well technically this the was the last weekend in May.
Kiely is our lake neighbor from Lind.  We call her Lake Kiely.  Hudson has been quite smitten with Kiely from day one.  When she would study for her CPA, he would just sit next to her outside, silent, letting her study:).  It was precious.  She finally met Mr. Right and the kids were on her photographer list.  We were so happy to celebrate the union of this wonderful couple.  Just remember to Shake It Off and Let It Go.  If you can remember those two pearls of wisdom, you'll be doing fine:).

2.  Lake Fun
While all my co-workers were working hard wrapping up the school year, our air was out so we headed to the lake!  I felt a bit guilty knowing the stress of the end of the year but the water was delightful!

We have loved our time with Uncle Joe!

Card Shark

Hudson was so proud of the feathers he found:).
3.  Father's Day Weekend Fishing
Since Joe was gone Father's Day weekend, the boys headed up to Priest for a fishing weekend.  Hudson was so excited!

He had success!!!

I'd say it was a successful weekend!

4.  Surprise Party

This year it was my parent's 60th birthdays and their 40th anniversary.  I knew I wanted to plan something.  I had other ideas at first but when a friend had a birthday party at the Steam Plant I knew that was the place to go.  It was a successful surprise and no one spilled the beans!

If you can't tell from the pic above, they were VERY VERY surprised!

We took our job seriously and sampled the beers to make sure they were perfect for the party beforehand:).

The room was so cool!  It had clocks and gages, a water feature, and it was near the smoke stacks.

Right above the water feature in the back was a screen to play a slideshow on.  Joe put that together!  He also made the invitations!

3 Generations

It was so fun to celebrate with family and friends.

In the Smoke Stack!  Hannah referred to it as Rapunzel's Tower:).
Joe and I truly love our parents.  We are so appreciative of how they have supported us throughout the years.  We wanted to honor them and let them know how much they are loved.
Happy Birthday and Anniversary you two:).

5.  Chalk Art Fun

Hudson's pirate ship he was so proud of!
6.  Preggo shot at 36 weeks

These were all taken at 36 weeks.
Any guesses?

Preggo cravings had us walking to the Chester store for slurpies and ice cold treats often:).

7.  Father's Day

Words can't describe how much we love our daddy!  He is wonderful with both of our kids.  He is the most supportive, helpful, caring man ever.  He is such a good teacher to kids whether its how to do a karate move or how to do a puzzle.  He explains it just perfectly!

We love you daddy!

For Father's Day we celebrated with a DQ cake.  I offered to pick it up so I could order it.  It was for the men, I promise!!!!

"Hi mom!"

8.  Playdates
I can just see these two cruising in a few years!
We love our playdates with Ryan & Connor!

Hannah wanted to take the wheel!
