A Day In The Life

I follow quite a few different people on Instagram.  I prefer Instagram to FB.  Most mornings start with an Instagram check.  One person I follow is a scrapbooker Ali Edwards.  She does something called "A Day In The Life" where you document your day in pictures.  So I decided to do it too!

TUESDAY, MAY 12TH 2015

6:49 AM // Wake up
I have been sleeping in later and later these days.  Ugh.  My first moments are spent in "tech time" which usually includes Instagram and a stop at Zulily to see what the deal is for the day.

My screen saver:).

7:33 AM // Hannah banana is the first up.
This is sleeping in surprisingly.  She starts off happy.

7:38 AM // Holding Hannah
Then I can't put her down and she's my buddy all morning.

7:48 AM // Not Happy
She was all excited to help me make muffins and then it turned.  This is her typically "unhappy" face, especially in the mornings when she wants me to hold her all day.

7:53 AM //  I help!
Then she turns around and is the best helper!

8:02 AM // Begging for a Show
"Can I watch just  1 (the finger 1) show please???"

8:07 AM // Wake up brother
Usually he wakes up on his own right around 7 but this am we had to wake him up:).
Notice the cool Avengers pjs!

8:09 AM //  She won
Yup, show time.

8:12 AM // Brother joins in the fun

8:13 AM //  Cleaning Time
A quick toilet clean this am.

8:32 AM //  Breakfast
Notice the space between them?  That's for both parties involved otherwise there are "issues".

9:20 AM //  Off to Bible Study
Car Selfie

9:34 AM //  Valley Real Life
Bible study starts at 9:30...notice we're a tad bit late.

He runs ahead to push the door open for us girls:).

9:59 AM // Kay Arthur Study on 2nd Peter
For this Bible study series, we start out whole group with a video and then break into small groups.

10:41 AM //  Childcare
The kids get childcare while I'm in the study!  Yay!
This is snack time.  We had to leave early on this particular day.

11:17 AM //  Lunch Date
Pops = eating out!
Pops brought lunch over for the kids, usually McDonalds.  The kids LOVE it.
Uncle Joe is in town so he helped out with the babysitting, few!

11:36 AM //  Holman Gardens
Today was the Ladies In May luncheon at Holman.  Grandma loves it when mom and I come.  This year it was  Paris theme.  They had some guest ballet dancers.  It was a beautiful time with my mother and grandmother.

1:30 PM //

1:54 PM // Chit Chat Time
Rarely do I get the time to cherish a conversation with my grandparents without little people running around:).

2:12 PM // Homework
I came home to release Pops so he could continue to work:).  Hudson and I do a little homework while Hannah is napping.  This is typical Monday/Tuesday at home with the kids.
Hudson's pencil box is Jared's from when he was little.  I cherish this little box of memories as I think of Jared as a little boy:).  Then of course some reading time with Uncle Joe today.

3:08 PM // Snuggles and a show
After all his hard work he was able to watch a show!

3:30 PM //  Hannah joins in on the fun

5:06 PM // Karate
After a quick bite, it's time to get ready for karate.  Hannah is helping Hudson put on his Gi.

5:25 PM //  Karate shadows
Walking into karate

5:38 PM //  Sucker Time
8 minutes into karate and she wants/needs a sucker.  45 minute karate sessions can be never ending without a good stop at the Bread Store and sucker.

5:52 PM // Character Lesson
One thing Jared & I love about karate is the emphasis on character not just athletics.

6:13 PM // Zombie Tag
When I first heard the term "zombie tag" I thought it was video game related.  Well apparently it's karate related!  This is rare occasion where Hudson is winning zombie tag.  Zombie tag is when you kick/punch a body part they can't use it anymore until you start over.  Hudson still has two feet his partner is on his knees.  Hudson is winning!

7:02 PM // Awana
Yes talk about a crazy, jam-packed day!  This fall it was marathon Tuesday/Thursdays.  Tuesday & Thursdays included karate and Awana or Small Group.  Yikes!  Tonight was his Awana awards night. He's a first year Sparkie this year and earned his ribbon because he completed his entire book.  So proud of our little man filling his heart with God's word!

7:05 PM //  Pictures
Yup we got our award and scidattled.  Hannah was done.
We took a few pics with our buddy Colton.
Of course Hannah needed one as well:).

7:38 PM // Ben's Frozen Yogurt
An awards night always deserves an frozen yogurt treat!  We went out with our buddies the Stumbaughs for some Awana celebrations!

7:47 PM // Hugs
Lando and Hannah giving hugs goodbye.  These hugs are genuine.  What love:).

9:00 PM // NCIS
We rarely stay up much past 9 but lately it's been past 10!  We enjoy some NCIS together as a couple.  I can't imagine life with our DVR (joking but it's a nice luxury).

9:59 PM //  Bedtime
The kids have been in bed for over an hour and it's time to close my eyes.  I always check the monitor for temperatures for both kids.  Night night sleepy heads!

10:08 PM // Set My Alarm
Then I end with setting my alarm.  Sometimes this leads to more tech time but Jared usually reminds me to go to sleep:).

This is a busy day in the life of the Haaks:).
