Hannah Lynn was 4 months on January 4th. Here is our little girl:).
Trying to get her to sit…but she will not bend sometimes!!!
Yes, she's a big girl now! She loves sitting in the bumbo, when I can force her to sit. She likes to be really stiff legged if you can tell in the pics above. Burping her is difficult at times because she won't bend!
With 4 months, comes shots:(. It wasn't too bad but here are some pictures:
Her stats are:
~Weight 12.8lbs (31%)
~Height 25.5 inches (91%)
~Head Circ 15.8 (24%)
The war wounds
Things I want to remember:
Hannah spits up so much! I literally only wear sweat pants and sweat shirts because I change at least 2 times a day due to spit overhaul. I warn everyone about it but its really a lot!!!
She still loves her swing:).
She is long and lean! You can see it here. She is so petite and I love it!
She is a rolling machine! We still swaddle her right now so she'll sleep otherwise it's a party in her crib!
She loves her binky. Ok I have only 2 that she likes. They were Hudson's and I can't find ones like them. So I'm very precise on where we put them. They have spots and its meltdown mode (my melt down) if we can't find them!
She doesn't relax much. She is always moving and trying to roll, sit up, or get in the crawling position!
She smiles, all the time! Except when hungry or tired:).
She is a drooling machine as well. She is constantly wanting to chew on my finger or other objects. Nana said I teethed early but she is defiantly a gnawer!
She has good fine motor. She has been grabbing items for a while now but she is getting better at grabbing smaller items and manipulating them, especially brother's toys:).
She pulls hair really hard too!
She has this huge bald spot on the back of her head. She's had it from the beginning and its from all her "thrashing" in the crib…fighting sleep.
Other things to remember:
*Hannah isn't really a sleeper. For her morning nap, she sleeps maybe 30-40 minutes and then wakes up. She plays for 30 or so but then goes back to sleep. Weirdo.
*She is very observant, always looking around with her "frumpled brows." Following sounds, noises, and wanting to be included in all activities, this is my girl:). Social is her middle name and she wants to be with the family!
*Hannah needs to stay close to home…if we travel too far she gets off her "schedule" which she kind of has. She needs her sleep because if her first 2 naps of the day don't go well then a meltdown is going to occur. She gets so worked up! It brings back the first 10 weeks or so…AH! Needless to say, if I stay home, I play it safe all is well:).
*She loves the car and if she is having trouble falling asleep at home, the car does it every time!
*Hannah giggles, babbles and talks to her family. The way she starts of her smiles is with a smirk and it melts my heart!
*She is active. I know babies are busy but Hannah seems EXTREMELY busy. Always wiggling, squirming, rolling, trying to crawl…ok her butt is in the air and her knees are ready to go. WOW! Yes this girl was like this in the womb, arms flailing and legs a kicking, and she has been that way from day 1. I've grown to love her active nature and can't wait to see what she's like in the future:). I bet she'll be crawling sooner than later. She's so active that when I was holding the other day, I was making her shot collage on instagram, and she pushed with her legs and hopped out of my arms! I caught her barely by the sleeper but she was hanging all Mission Impossible like when Tom Cruise is trying to steal the knock(?) list. It was close!
We tried rice cereal. It wasn't a hit. I think we'll wait till she's a bit more ready.
Hannah you are such a blessing in our lives. Hudson adores you and is so happy to have a friend to play with. You are such a daddy's girl and without him I would be lost because he's the only one that can calm you down at times! I love your breath taking smirks, smiles and giggles. I'm so blessed to have this time with you.
