Animal Love

Hudson loves his animals. He has Mickey Mouse, dog, 2 bearies, and his Cars pillow. If its a lazy morning, like today, he stays in his pjs and brings his animals with him. He loves on them and rocks them. In the last picture he is telling them "Shall we rock a little longer?" pretending to be the animals. Then he replies with "Just 3 more minutes." This is precious to me because it's part of our nighttime routine. I rock him, he asks for longer, I reply with 3 more minutes. I love these little moments with my boy!

Baby Girl

I was fortunate to have my friend, Olivia, scan our baby girl.  

She knew Huddy's gender the whole time and was able to keep it a secret, even at my baby shower!

I had been trying to iron out whether or not we were finding out the gender for this baby for weeks!  Every time I would ask Jared, he would smile and walk the other way or change the topic on the phone.  Finally when we decided to keep our earlier ultrasound date, I asked him if we could find out (it was only days away).  He changed the subject like always:).  Then he called me back 20 minutes later and asked me "Do you really want to find out?"  LOL.  Yes, this is a very Katie personality quirk, I wanted to know and then I didn't.  Then I'd beg to find out, then I'd tell him, "No we should wait, it's so much fun."  But in the end I caved and found out because this pregnancy has been sooo different.  I told him I wanted to find out and he said "I just want to make sure you knew what you wanted."  He's so good to me:).

So here is our baby girl at 18 weeks

Baby girl we love you!  You are so challenging in the womb and I'm anxious to see what your personality is like outside the womb.  At 6 months, I have managed to still need anti-nausea meds daily (I thought I was over the hump at 5 months and again, you proved me wrong, yet again:)).  I finally have gained 4 pounds and you are growing.  I feel you kick constantly!  You are a mover and a shaker, I have a feeling you take after your mamma:).  Your busy and you keep this mamma on her toes.  I have NEVER missed as much work as I have this year.  Thank you for spicing life up for me a bit:).

Dinosaur Bone Hunt

Raylee Marie

A few weekends ago we had the privilege of meeting the newest member of the Haak clan, Raylee Marie.   Raylee was born on April 7th, 7lbs 10oz 20 inches long.  I was so excited to meet and snuggle her I almost went down during the work week but a trip to Ellensburg isn't around the corner so we had to wait until a weekend and after Hudson's party.  

We headed to church on Sunday, ate lunch at home, and hit the road.  It was so worth it!  Raylee was precious.  Tiff is such a relaxed mom and let me just snuggle Raylee for our whole stay.  I was in heaven, so was Hudson:).

As you can see above, he's all smiles.  I first asked him if he wanted to hold Raylee and he said yes.  Then he kept asking to hold her.  I think he held her 4 times or so.  He was all smiles and so proud of his cousin.

Jared actually used the term "baby hog" with me, LOL.  He wanted a snuggle...and so did Hudson!

Then it was enough baby time for the boys so they got out their light sabers.  So boy!

Lastly we ended with a great Haak brother shot!

Daryl and Tiff, we couldn't be more happy for you; Raylee is perfect in every way.  What a delight God has brought.  The Haak gatherings will be perfect now, everyone has a baby:).  You'll be wonderful parents and we'll be here to support and listen in any way possible.  Love you guys!

Red Robin Celebrations

 Since Hudson enjoyed the Happy Birthday song I thought it would be fun to take him to Red Robin where they sing and give you balloons.  Hudson loved the busy environment and there were quite  few birthdays that night.  We helped join in and sing with all our neighbor tables.

Hudson ordered his birthday pizza, again.

Then it was time for the singing of the song!  He didn't smile as big as he did on his birthday but I think he was stimulated with all that was going on.  He sure did love his sundae!

Wordless Wednesday

A Very Hudson Birthday Party

At Hudson's "school" Miss Lexie throws a birthday party for each kiddo on their birthday.  Here the boys are signing Hudson's banner.  Yes Hudson is telling you he is 3!  I don't see him wearing the birthday hat, I need to ask about that.  He's not the biggest hat fan...

Then Lexie asks the kids what they want for snack.  Well Hudson rattled off quite a few things: big cupcakes, little cupcakes, ice cream, reeses peanut butter cups, pudding, the list goes on.  To be honest I was quite a bit embarrassed!  She tried to please him and give him it all but he DOESN'T need it!  He has a sweet tooth like his mamma and daddy!

Then it was off to Toys R Us to pick out a birthday toy.  Lexie does this will all the kids and let's them pick out their special toy.  He picked out a unicorn chariot that is pink to hold his Zhu Zhu Pet.  He wanted a pink Zhu Zhu Pet too but Lexie convinced him to get a green one.  He would point to trucks and cars and she'd ask him if he wanted to get that instead of his unicorn chariot...but alas he was adamant on it.  I will say, he was just getting ready for his baby sister:).

Then it was off to the park!

Yes, he had to invite the ladies.  My Hudson loves the girls:).

Then I joined the gang and brought a special lunch, McDonalds!

Then it was back to Lexies for nap and back to work for me!  After nap, he got his last and final treat

Hudson's like "Seriously, I just want to eat this Lexie!"  

She even sent home some peanut butter cups for him but mommy ate them:).

I'm so blessed to have such a wonderful woman to watch my most precious gift.  She truly makes each child feel special and loved.
