Where has the time gone? How can my girl be 3?!
Hannah continues to be a delight. She can be so fun and spirited yet so temperamental all in on package!
Hannah loves to be outdoors! She climbs on anything and loves to be adventurous.
She LOVES to dress up, especially in princess dresses or anything sparkly. She loves accessories and compliments any woman or man on their outfit/accessory. She greets everyone with a big smile that is contagious and they all can't help but smile back. Hannah still loves her minnie and her binky. They are her comfort and calming items. She has become quite the swimmer this summer. She wears the puddle jumper and actually swims in it. She is a water bug!
Hannah is the first to volunteer to go on a errand with me. She loves them, especially Costco. I hate to admit it but she is a mini-me. She has the spunk/sass of which I do not know what to do with but laugh at times. The tantrum she threw tonight did not make me laugh but other days I just smile:). We started to potty train her at the end of the summer, yes when Hope was 6 weeks old, because she kept asking. She smiles with delight when she goes and is very proud of herself. Her smile is contagious and her eyes have a twinkle to them. There are times she needs help with dinner and asks for us to give her bites...sometimes we cave sometimes we fight the battle.
Hannah has started to learn the art of how to annoy her brother. She touches his stuff or him and it has really started to get under Hudson's skin. She also, thanks to Nana, has learned to stick her toungue out for fun. What started out as a cute game, Hannah learned to use it with attitude and how to be rude and/or disrespectful. She gets flicks and time outs for that one! But again, sometimes its hard not to laugh...
Hannah has the gift of empathy, that both Jared and I lack according to our premarital counselor. I think he's right:). She expresses true concern for people if they're hurt, upset or need something. She is the best helper!
Hannah loves stickers, painting, coloring and puzzles. She can do puzzles for hours! She loves to dress up, especially in dresses. A few accessories are always on her from headbands to bracelets to fun shoes. This girl notices everyone's purse, earrings, shirt, etc and compliments them on it. She just cracks me up!
Hannah does have some trouble with tantrums. There can be screaming in our house and time outs. She using the words "FINE!" and "I'm telling mom" or dad or whoever told her no. "I'm going to my room" is often used and we're ok with that:). She is good at asking one parent for something she wants after the other one has told her no. She cries for her Minnie and binky when she's overly tired or in trouble. She also was up at least once every night after she's lost her binky crying "My binky."
A few of Hannah's favorite phrases are:
"No, nevermind"
"I come too!" or "Me too!"
"Fine" with a lot of sass!
"I want you to buy me that!"
"Oh Craters" from a show we watch about outer space
"Mom, I think Hope needs you."
"I want to wear a dress!"
"I will be nice to my friends and listen!"

Daddy turned around and she did this...
Dress up Fun!
WATER BUG
I did a mommy and me swim class with Hannah this summer! She didn't need to be with me but it was good for us to have some special time before baby came:).
My art girl!
Hannah loves her brother and listens to what he tells her. He's explaining about his hooks here:).
Practicing karate kicks!
Hannah had her first haircut this summer! Well we trimmed her rat tail in the back basically. She's all girl and can't wait to go back and get it done:).
She can now also peddle her trike!
She got her first official pedicure. Nana said to bring her along and that meant she could't sit on the sidelines:). She wanted a turn!
Hannah reminds me of Jared's cousin Ashley in so many ways. From the fussy baby stage to their energetic, fun personalities. Ashley is a nurse and a middle child. We think they are so similar.
After we had Hope, Hannah and I ran a few errands. She took her baby and called her baby Hope:). So sweet!
She still gets tired and needs to rest with her Minnie and binky. We limit her binky to nap and bed time. Sometimes if she's tired she'll head up to her bed and sit on there so she can have them. Often times her fingers find their way in her mouth so we encourage the binky!!!
Hannah plays hard! She's full of energy and runs and runs and goes and goes and then she crashes. Often times she has to nap before lunch because she's just too tired. When she gets too tired, there are tears and whining and tantrums. But then she goes to sleep and usually is fine when she wakes up and is refreshed:).
Her favorite way to be put to bed is with daddy. She loves it when he brings her like a sack of potatoes to all of us for kisses then spins her and twirls her to bed:).
Sometimes she still needs some snuggles with mom in bed, especially when she's sick.
You can tell her mom nurses and pumps:).
"These are my pumpers mom" as she puts them on her stomach. Hmm, don't know how to take that.
Nursing her baby:).
When I would nurse she would always be near by doing a puzzle, getting into my closet dressing up, or just making a mess and having fun. She always wants to be where the action is.
Hannah is always busy doing something. She loves projects, activities, gathering items or her favorite lately is puzzles.
Hannah you are a delight and make our lives so fun! We couldn't imagine our family without your spunk and energy! Your curly hair just fits your fun personality! We love you Hannah Bean.
Your smile lights up our days!
