A Very Arnhold Christmas

Christmas #2 was exciting as well!  We skied Christmas Eve again which is always a high light for me.  There wasn't as much snow this year as last year but it was great conditions.  Pops (Hudson's new nickname for my dad instead of Papa), Uncle Joe, and I went with a family friend Garrett.  Jared unforcanetly was sick with the stomach flu so he missed out and we sure missed him!  It was even snowing up there and there is something magical about skiing in the snow.

This is in the car almost there, I'm a bit excited!  First trip of the season:).

Garrett & Joe.
Garrett is just finishing up his 5th year in the Marines so it was nice to catch up with him

Mine are the K2's!
There's the famous Pops!

Then we headed home and got ready for Christmas Eve service at Foothills.
We had a nice meal where Jared and Joe sat nice and snug at:).

I love Christmas Eve service.  It's so fun to see friends I grew up with and now their kiddos as well.  So fun!  Pastor Brian just took over as Foothills Senior Pastor after Pastor Jerry retired.  It was nice to see the community together again.

Afterwards we headed back to open some presents.  Nana & Papa got Hudson a fun toy this year:

That's right a fun Thomas train set.  Huddy's buddy Silas has a BIG train set and Hudson loved it.
Then he was off to help others open their gifts.  Nana is giving Papa the look like "What is this?  Did I ask for his?"  Ha ha.

We opened a few presents and then headed to bed.  The next morning daddy was full of fun with blanket forts!

I had to get a shot or two of his PJ's.  I just LOVE them.  They are Thomas ones but he just looks so handsome in them:).

Then Gigi & Gpa came over for some presents.  Uncle Joe and dadda are looking at Hudson's new favorite book, The 12 Days of Washington.  Super cute and it includes a Spokane, Wenatchee, and a few Seattle pages.  Fun to look at and as always, fun to read!

Hudson couldn't wait to hear it again so Gigi volunteered to read it!

Hudson also discovered "treats" this Christmas.  So he was quite happy to ask for and reach for treats on Nana's special plate.

MMM that was good mamma!
I love Uncle Joe's smiles!  It was so good to have him home and catch up in person.  We don't get to chat too often but when he comes home, it's like he never left!

Gigi was back at it again!

Nana with her famous cup of Joe:).

The hostess and table-I love the poses!

Auntie came a bit late due to the stomach flu:(.  Poor auntie!  Then we opened a few more presents.
This year daddy got Hudson a very special book about Heaven.  He was excited!

He got a few more books from Gigi & Gpa and a Star Wars one from Mamma!

But one of the biggest hits was the slinky.  I knew with our stairs this would be a big hit and it is:).
Gigi & Gpa also had a desk made for Hudson.  He sure likes lining up his cars on it and driving all over.

The famous Pops picture with pink cup in hand!

We had a few other Cars car sets that Hudson didn't have so we have him that with a travel Radiator Spings.  So fun!

Then it was Rummicube time and it was on!  Nana still seems to be the champ but I will reclaim my trophy next year:).

Daddy played with his boy:)

Uncle Joe read

Then Nana wanted to show Gigi Hudson's work time with her on the iPad.

Gigi was very impressed with Hudson's work time!  I wasn't quite sold on the ipad until I realized that Hudson can work it himself.  He can switch from game to game and he can operate all the games Nana has on it.  He learns his colors, shapes, plays piano, and obviously letters!  Pretty cool Nana!

Overall this Christmas was wonderful.  It was so nice to have a concentrated about of Joe time from skiing and chair lift rides to Christmas meals.  We had a relaxing day with family and it was a wonderful meal as always.  Thanks so much Nana & Papa!

Tool Bench & Friends

We couldn't wait to get home and put together Hudson's tool bench!  He loved working with the saw where he cuts wood.  Daddy taught him about the drill press and how to put his tools back.  He knows how to saw, hammer, and screw his wood piece that came with the set.  The bench even comes with a snake light and Hudson loves turning it on and throwing it in his tent to see.  What a nut!

Laura and Silas were in town so we invited them over for a play date!  Stephanie and Ryan came over too.  The boys had so much fun building with Legos and using the tool bench.

Then Hudson showed them how to work his saw on his tool bench.
He cut the wood and let his friends do it next with a little prompting from mamma.
"See Silas you do it like this."

Silas was a bit sad to leave and we were sad to see them go.

Silas and Ryan thanks for helping clean up!  It was so fun to have my friends over.
 Come back soon guys!
