Baby Claire's Baptism

This is my niece Claire.  Isn't she angelic?!

Claire, her parents, and Aunt Janelle (who is at Whitworth this fall!) stopped by on a family vacation to Coeur d' Alene.  Hudson loved playing with Claire!

A few weekends ago, we had the privilege to attend Baby Claire's Baptism.  Jared's last test was scheduled the Monday after her Baptism but he was feeling more prepared so he moved it up and we had our first official weekend FREE!  What did we do?  Drive to spend it with family:).  We know how important a dedication to the Lord is.  We couldn't be happier for Jordan and Lissa.  Look at this adorable family!!!!

After her dedication, we went to Lissa's folks place for brunch.  It was so fun because all of Lissa's family was there and Jordan's too, including Daryl & Tiff and Grandma & Grandpa Haak.  Who isn't excited for a Degroot brunch?!  It was FABULOUS!!!!

Hudson wanted to hold Claire so badly!!!!  As always, we enjoyed our Baby Claire time!  I was able to get to my friend Rachel's and use her band saw to cut out Claire's letters.  Rachel showed me how to cut part of a letter and left me to it and I tried but having no prior wood cutting, heavy machinery experience it was rough!  Let's just say, I got the saw off track a few times and Tyson had to come home from work and ended up cutting 2/3 of the letters...but it got done! It's a bit tricker than I had thought:)  Thanks Tyson and Rachel for the fun!

Baby Claire we love you and are so blessed to welcome you to the Haak family.

Oliva & Owen's Shower:)

A few weekends ago, we were able to celebrate Olivia's pregnancy with baby Owen.  Her sister hosted the shower in her mother's backyard.  It was a gorgeous day with gorgeous decorations.  I loved the paper lanterns and all the blooming flowers.  We all sat under a canopy which was fabulous because it gave us some shade on the hot, hot day.  Tiffany was able to bring baby Addison and I was temporarily in charge of pictures...so fun!  I pooled the girls together to get some Pottery Barn Gift cards for Liv but I couldn't resist a few items of clothing...like an adorable jean jacket!!!  Marcy planned the funnest (yes funnest!) game of hit the pinata and the prizes were chocolate and alcohol, for after the pregnancy of course:).

We ended the shower with a classic Valley Christian School girls shot and I had a Katie moment.

Congrats Liv!  You look gorgeous and we're so happy Owen is still in the oven safe and healthy.  I can't wait to meet your newest bundle of joy.

Water Fun

For Hudson's birthday, Gigi, Gpa, and Aunt Kiki gave him this super fun pool.  Well we finally blew it up and he had a ball.  The hose was his tool of choice.

Neighborhood Fun

Jared and I both grew up in the country.  We aren't used to neighbors but I have to say, if you're gonna have neighbors we have the best ones!  Our development is full of young parents and kids.  The summer is the best because my teacher-friend neighbors are home as well so its a kid party every day.

This summer, Huddy and I have stuck close to home...with the whole fear of other public restrooms:).  I was frustrated at first but now am loving the relaxed daily routine.  We get up, go for a walk some mornings or the gym, and when we come back kids are out playing.

Hudson and Tatiyana

Playing with some chalk and watching Eli and Emerson in the Mustang!

Eli is the craziest driver!  He off rodes his Mustang; up, down, and all over the sidewalks.  Watch out!

Other mornings we play on our trike, our new favorite.  Hudson is tell me "I'm 2."

With the relaxed schedule, we learned to pedal our trike!

After a bit of this and that, we set up camp.  We usually have a morning snack outside:).

Yesterday our neighbor Lexi came over and blew some bubbles with us.  Isn't she a doll?!

I love having neighbors, but I LOVE my neighbors.  Their are some many kids and families to play with, we're never bored.  I love morning walks in the Ponderosa Hills, or to the coffee stand, especially when we hit The Trellis:).  I feel so blessed that God led us to this neighborhood, however long we stay. I really can't wait for baby Addison to get walkin', then we'll have even more FUN!
