Happy New Year!

For New Years we headed up to the lake for some sledding:).  We picked up a "big boy" sled on the way to the cabin.  Note to self: do not shove plastic sled in back of SUV and slam back door on it, making it fit.  It breaks the sled.

Jared was excited to make this great ramp for Hudson.  I'm glad he was there to help me, the snow was quite deep and I needed his help!  The ramp is ready!

Weee!
Hudson was very concerned at this point asking us to please not let him go in the water:).  LOL
We had to beg him to go again:).  Jared wanted to keep sledding!

The view

Broken sled or not, we had fun!  Note to self #2: If adults want to sled on child's plastic sled, it will break more.  I guess I have to get Jared his own sled next year:).

THen it was time to go in for some hot coco while the "men" went snowmobiling.

While the men were gone, we had lots of Hannah and Hudson fun:).  One thing I wanted to do was get pics of Hannah in her Harley onesie, gear 1.  Here is Hudson in it when he was around 3-4 months old.

And Hannah:).

Nana & Pops bought Hannah her own "pink" Harley onesie.  Here she is in her onesie, biker boots, and headband.  Ah, I love having a girl:).

When the men came back we enjoyed a quiet New Year's Eve in the cabin.  One reason I love Christmas is the quality time I get with my brother.  He is so fun!  I miss him so much and there's nothing like one-on-one time with him.  The cabin allows these times together!  He enjoyed feeding Hannah as well:).  I think he thought he was quite cute as well:).

Sibling love is the best!  I'm so thankful for my close relationship with my brother and I hope my kiddos have the same.  I always am saying "Hannah loves her big brother" or "Hannah thinks you're the best brother in the whole world."  Hudson responds so lovingly back with hugs, kisses and kind words.  I hope they will stay that way through the crawling, walking and junior high/high school years:).  Oh the joys I have to look forward too!

I'm thankful for this year off with my little ones and cherishing the time and simple joys they bring me daily!

Calling Jesus

A few weeks ago, Hudson came home from church with a cell phone.  The phone was used to call Jesus just like you call a friend.  He went around calling Jesus for days.  It was priceless!  It touched this mama's heart:).

*the discussion that you don't need a "phone" to call Jesus is in the works:).

Calling All Super Heros!

One our favorite kiddos turned 5 this year!  I can't believe  that Emery is 5?!  Where has the time gone. Olivia, Emery's mom, is probably one of the most creative, crafty (in the good way), and best hostess I've ever met.  She knows how to throw a party.  For Emery's 5th, she threw a super hero party and it was wonderful!  They rented a jumpy castle for the back yard!

Yes there is snow but it really wasn't that cold!  Jared bundled up Hudson.

The kids proceeded to jump and a bounce!

But this is what Hudson did…

Then we went inside!

Of course by the time he went inside, it was time for the party!  Ha ha.  So inside we went for some super hero fun!  Isn't this the most adorable Telephone booth ever?!  The kids loved it, especially mine!

Hudson, Nathan, Kariya

Look at that spread!

Back to the phone booth!

On top of all that fun, Olivia made each kid a super hero cape.  She seriously is amazing!
Super Addison!

Super Emery, the birthday boy!

Best buds and cousins

Super Kariya

Super Seyler

The whole Hero gang

They quickly dispersed...

One last one of adorable Seyler

Then, there's my kid...

Then he showed a little mask interest.  He told me before the party he didn't want to wear a mask.  Unlike Emery, who LOVES to dress up, Hudson isn't a big fan.  Halloween costumes are a battle every year.  But then he put the mask on his head...

A view of his cape

Is that mask almost covering his eyes?

Ah, victory!  With Hudson we try not to push him too hard but he eventually comes around…on his own timing.

Super Huddy!

Then Super Hudson wanted to go back out and jump.  What a nut!

Thank you Olivia and Andrew for a wonderful party!  We love your Emery so much and he is such a wonderful little boy, do I dare say young man?  What a fun way to celebrate 5!
Happy Birthday sweet, caring, creative, imaginative, energetic and fun Emery!
