Hannah Potty Training Round 2

I was at Costco and I saw a Elsa dress I knew Hannah wanted.  I put it away in my basement toy store:).  She had seen it at Addy's and wanted one so badly again and she had been asking to go pee pee on the potty!  I kept telling her "Just go in your diaper".  I have a new born!  I can't potty train too!  Mind you this is while I have a 6 week old...
Well she put her hand on her hip and said "I want to go pee pee in the potty mom!"  Ok, done deal.
So I put out the dress and used it as motivation to go in the potty!

I bought a few of Hannah's favorite things: Tootsie roll pops, cheetos, skittles, m&ms and some cookies.  Not to mention lots of capri suns and juice!  I set up a potty chart.  I was ready to go.

2 Skittles or M&Ms for peeps
Tootsie Roll pop for poops and her Elsa dress!

She had quite a few success the first day!  It helped that she drank like 4 capri suns before noon:).

We did puzzles

Nana and Pops came to help with Hopey.

We had more successes!
Hannah lived in her polka dot shirt (she called it her dress) and the black and white striped dress.  Why can't you look your best and potty train?!

Pops read to her too!

She had lots of juice and snacks!  Maybe too much juice!  She wasn't pooping.  Matter of fact it had been 3 days.   So I started the iPad trick and let her watch a show to "relax" to release.  Eventually we had to give her some Myralax.  Then she went too much and in her under wear:(.

Morning routines now:).

Her favorite book was "No More Diapers For Ducky!"  Hudson loved this one too.  I don't know how many times I read this per day...lots and lots:).

She had the peeps down by day 2 easily.  A few accidents but doing really well.  It was the poops that took us a bit longer and then she went in the potty!

That's right!  She earned her dress and sucker!

She still needed a few days/weeks of tech time at night to consistently help her get it in the potty but she's golden now.

Few!  That was easier than Hudson.  I like the bladder control at 3 better than 2 and Hannah really wanted to. Congrats big girl!  We're so proud of your determination!
Such a big girl!

Hope @ 2 Months

Hope is 2 Months!
My how the time has flown!

Hope has grown so much this month!  She started out in newborn and is almost outgrowing the 3 month clothing!  She is tracking people, especially siblings:).  My favorite development is that she smiles now.  Isn't it the cutest thing you ever saw?

She smiles at brother, sister, mom, dad and also in her sleep.  That's my favorite:).

It' nice to start feeling human again.  Hope is sleeping a good  7 hours as of the last couple nights.
Right now we moved her cradle into our big closet so she has her own room away from siblings and noise:).  We had hoped to have her share a room with Hannah but I don't think that will happen any time soon:).

Sometimes she takes an afternoon nap on our bed:).

Hudson was proud to finally get her to sleep on him!

We are doing tummy time, as much as we can.
The doctor said she needs a bit more... Hope is just content to be on her tummy and not lift up much.  Poor Hope is our car baby.  Mornings are feed Hope, take Hudson to school, sleep in carseat.  Feed Hope, play time, sleep.  Feed Hope, pick up Hudson, sleep in carseat.  She just doesn't get as much floor time as she probably should.  She does hold her head up well when I'm burping her or holding her.

Sister loves her too:).

Snuggles with mom:).

She gets a lot of floor time during feedings to work out burps and make sure she's extra hungry!

Have I mentioned how much this child loves her hand?  Finger?  Fist?

Hope has also started to love her mobile on the swing.  She likes the movement, music but really the mobile.  Or is it the mirror under the mobile where she can see herself?  Hmm...such a girl:).

We've done a few breakfasts at Holman with Gigi and Gpa.

We got a van this past month so now we can carpool!  Hudson loves holding Hope, waiting for his ride in the mornings.  Such a sweet big brother.

These two girls are quite the pair already.  Hannah loves Hope and is always there to give her a hug when she's on her blanket or hold her hand in the car.

This month we met Ronan!  Ronan is Melinda's little boy.  Melinda and I were working together this past spring while my teaching partner Kim was on maternity leave.  We were both pregnant at the same time and our kiddos are a week apart.

Another new development is we moved Hope into the big girl crib.  Sniff Sniff.  She's growing up and moving obviously!  I didn't put her like that:)

Sometimes tired:).

Hope can blow out a diaper like no other!  I have never had so many blow outs through clothes, swaddled at night, in the swing, while she's nursing or my favorite is when she saves it for a diaper change.  That's messy!!!!

She does cry often lately when she's tired or has a stubborn burp.  If she had her way, she'd be held and snuggled all day.

We love you Hopey Lou!  What a delight you are!  This family of 5 is now complete:).
