The Dairy-A Dairy Tour

Jared's cousin got married in July so we headed down early for a bachelor party, a family visit, hopefully a baby niece, and a wedding.  The first day or so we hung around the dairy and Hudson loved the cows and walking outside.

This is the barn that holds the laboring mothers.  The pens outside hold the newborn calves.

These calves are 1-2 days old.

Going for one of our many walks to see the cows.

"That's a cow!" Hudsons says overly excited!

The milk truck

Hudson loves watching the milk trucks come in.  The milk truck comes 3 times a day so we had many opportunities to see it!  Grandpa Hank wait at his desk working.

Then it was time for the cows again, visiting the newborns.

Grandpa Hank told all about his pesticide free fly control:).

These are the mammas to be

A tractor and Chico, the dog.  You can see Hudson's hand waving because he wanted to be carried 99% of the time due to Chico.  We have some dog issues...but I'm telling you carrying almost 40lbs for an extended period of time can be back breaking, for reals!

Uncle Daryl made this sign: SNIPES MTN DAIRY

Speaking of Uncle Daryl, he came to visit.  So Hudson new he could lure the newbie into taking him for a walk outside because the rest of us were tired of carrying him!

Hudson telling Uncle Daryl about the minerals and how its food for the cows.

He has lots to say...

An uncle, a boy, and a dog...what more does one need?  And some truck dust?:)
