Lucky Bums!

For Christmas, we didn't get Hudson too much because seriously, he has it all!  There is nothing my child needs.  He did ask for monster trucks so I got those for him.  It's hard to shop for him when he has so much but my dad ordered these Lucky Bums skis for him.  They are intro skis where you strap them onto your boots and ski around.  So we pulled them out, after watching a few Warren Miller videos, and put them on.  Pops helped him try them on:).

He was quite humorous during it all.  He did put them on quite a few times because we left them out so he could "pop" them on and off.  We left them out and every day he'd put them on a few times…

I would get ridiculously excited when he put them on and make a big deal…I think he liked it:).

Then it snowed again outside and I had an opportunity to get him on them while I was shoveling.  He wanted to play with his sled but I did "make" him try them on outside.  I said "Let's just try two steps skiing."  He was reluctant but here was the end result

We skied up and down the sidewalk:).  He asked to keep going and I think he really enjoyed it!  It was a great intro to it.  He fell a few times and had to turn around but I think he got the hang of it.  Hudson is a sensitive boy and we have to be careful not to push him too hard or too quick.  Exposure is key to me and I will encourage him to try new things but at a slower pace:).  We plan on bringing him up to the mountain later this spring for a few quick swishes in the snow and a successful hot chocolate!
