Hannah @ 12 Months

Somewhere between the business of life, my baby turned 1.  It seems that just yesterday I was frazzled with uncertainty on how to take care of this little one.  From walks to long drives and lots of Starbucks, she has grown up.  From a year of working full time, while pregnant with Hannah, to staying at home for a year, life has been full of changes!

I will say, before Hannah, there were moments of boredom.  I can honestly say the last year has not been boring!

This has been a challenging year to say the least.  I went from a full time working mom to a stay at home mom, working too, but I learned what this meant.  I went from a friendly, social, out going teacher who delighted in "what will the kiddos say today" and parent requests for their child to be in my classroom to a mom who is hopeful her baby doesn't scream, the goal of a well kept house, and a few healthy meals during the day.

Hannah loves stuffed animals!

May the force be with you!

As I reminisce of the last year, I can't help but smile.  My Hannah is so full of spunk, attitude, determination and a social butterfly to boot.  She adds so much to our family.  She couldn't be more opposite of Hudson in so many ways but that's what completes our family.  The way she looks at Jared and smiles.  There is something special about this little girl and her daddy!  She melts all of our hearts!
I remember the day we told Hudson that there was a baby in my tummy.  He was so hopeful for a sister.  He loved touching my belly and couldn't wait for the baby to come out.  The eagerness to hold Hannah the first time he saw her is a memory I will always cherish.  They are siblings who laugh, cry, and play together. Their giggles are what make these days all worth it!

Her smile is contagious!  It lights up a room and all of our hearts.  Maybe because I waited so long for those smiles?  or maybe it's just that she truly is our "sunshine".

From her claps for more food, to her grunts, giggles, and squeals of laughter and she chases her brother,  we love you Hannah.

Yes we still have our meltdowns

She even loves the rain

And now that you're not so little any more.  Feeding yourself your own bottle, saying words like mamma, dadda, ba (bottle), trying to mimic brother, thank you, moo cow sounds.  Grunting for attention:). Waving bye bye.  walking, cruising, almost running all over.  She is learning her will, her wants/desires and making them known:).
Who loves you Hannah?  Mommy, Daddy, and Brother do!

She LOVES bathtime!
My new favorite thing she does is come up and grab my leg with a book in her hand.  She's trying to say book but I love that she's showing an interest in books!

It's mostly animal books where we make the sounds but hey, she can sit through 2 now!

She knows when she's doing something she shouldn't be and getting away with it because a huge smile and grin comes upon her face, followed by squeals of laughter, and a loud sharp clap (my warning clap) usually followed by a stern "No!"
Sit down Hannah!
Can you hear me saying no?  Yes she laughs at my no's!

She even loves some daddy tea party's

I am so proud to be this little lady's mamma.  Happy Birthday Hannah Bean!  You are one of the joys we cherish every day!

  1. Aww, this was so sweet! Love the sibling pictures. Yes, you have had a lot of changes with working full time, staying home full time, and now going back to work part time! I hope it is the best of both worlds for you!
