Top Moments of 2011

To end a wonderful year, I thought I would highlight the top Moments of 2011.

  1. Hudson continues to be the joy and delight in our household!

2.  Jared passing his CPA.  This has been a 2 1/2 year process and we're so thankful its over.  Now if he would just work less:).

3.  Disneyland was by far one of the most exciting events.  What a fun trip!  Thank you Nana & Papa!

4.  Potty Training, it was emotional but very rewarding in the end.  What a big boy we have!

5.  The birth of our niece, Baby Claire

Mrs. Knowles my preschool teacher who still remembers me as Daisy (I changed my name in preschool and crimped my hair, I was hot stuff! LOL)

My 1st grade teacher, Mrs. Steever.  I also student taught with her.  She is a key inspiration to me in education.  She invested in me and I am the teacher I am today because of her.

8.  Small Group
This year we finally were able to join a small group through our church.  It has been such a blessing and a wonderful encouragement to us.

11.  Christmas with our Families

In case you didn't get our Christmas card, here it is.  This one was my favorite one so far!

Happy New Year friends and family!  We hope 2012 brings many blessings!

Happy New Year!

So I know this is a little late, but better late than never, right?!
For New Years weekend we headed to Priest.  I love Priest in the winter.  It's covered in snow, quiet, and so peaceful.  For dinner we went to our winter favorite, Millies.  It's always happening at Millies!  Hudson enjoyed driving his cars all over the restaurant.  I love how relaxed it is there.  They were only open till 8 and only served pizza so they could close and celebrate the weekend as well.  It worked out perfect for us!

This was Hudson's first time in a twin bed, he looks so little!  I bought him a bed earlier this fall we're just waiting to transition him to a bigger room.  I can't wait till he has his own big boy bed.  Love that smile!

One thing I LOVE about Priest is how I get to relax.  Jared and dad go snow moiling and mom and I watch the lil man.  During his nap, we watched The Help (which we both bought for each other ironically).  I didn't read the book but I LOVED the movie.  Very touching and well done!

When the boys came back, Jared did his usual "tidying" while Pops watched some New Years football.

Hudson and Mamma made a fort!  I loved doing this with couch cushions and blankets when I was little.  Oh wait, I still do!  Then Hudson ended with some IPad word!

This was so relaxing because we weren't traveling and I just got to sit and relax; something my job never allows!  What a great holiday weekend.  Thank you family for some quality R&R!

Miss Lexie's Adventures

I switched Huddy's daycare again this year to a small in-home right up the hill from us.  I couldn't be happier!  She has 7 two and three year old boys that she cares for.  Since she is so small, she does a lot of field trips with them.  Here are a few of her adventures in 2011:

Hidden Acres Pumpkin Patch

Chocolate Pudding Love

Fall Fun
Hudson's new "cheese" face appears:).

Halloween
She took them trick-or-treating to U-Hi.  They let the kids go door to door and get lots of candy!

Happy Birthday Luke!

Jello Painting

I laugh at this picture because Hudson was adamant on showing me his "picture."  Lexie actually had to take it out of the garbage and hang it on the wall because he was so upset.  He says often "my mommy wants to see ____."

Jump N Bounce

I guess Hudson loved being confined in the boxing ring - alone.  He loved jumping without anyone else around and giggled the whole time he was in there.

Davenport Gingerbread Houses

Hudson has become quite the socialite.  He rounded up all the troops for "cheese" pictures in every place and location he could find:).

Lexie said he touched almost every chair in the hotel:).

Hudson even said he could eat some of the gingerbread without anyone noticing and the other two boys weren't impressed.

Then he proceeded to talk to this man, who would not answer him:).

Ending with a great treat!

Christmas Party

They started off with some scratch ornaments

The best part of this picture is she didn't ask any of them to pose, just get in front of the tree!

Here they are singing Christmas songs and doing a felt board story.  Hudson LOVES the songs.

Santa's lap Take 1

Take 2
I guess after seeing how the other kids posed with Santa, Huddy wanted another pic:)

Gift exchange gifts

Then the best for last, treats!  The star sticker cracks me up, all his idea!

She also did a cute nativity scene.

Hudson has just blossomed this fall from Miss Lexie's!   We couldn't be more thankful for such wonderful care where he is loved, cherished, and who thoroughly enjoys her job.
Thank you Miss Lexie for a wonderful fall!
