Haak Family Vacation

It's been about five years since our last Haak extended family vacation.  Thanks to Aunt Lissa, she helped us book a place at Spirit Lake for the week.  

Since we had the smallest traveling distance we loaded the car up with tons of fun toys.  So many that Nessy, Hannah's floatie, had to ride up front with Jared and I!

Once we got there the girls loved riding on the floaties!

Of course I jumped at the chance to get in the water:).

Hannah loved the water but loved playing in the sand as well!

Before bed, Raylee and Hannah would read books:).

One evening it was Hudson's black belt testing.  So Jared took him in for his test.

He passed!  Hudson is now an official advanced yellow belt!

Meanwhile the girls played with magnifying glasses.

And checked out the view!

That night it was bath night.

Hudson's favorite toy was the pool table. Uncle DD entertained him by helping his shoot the balls in the pockets.  Funny boys!

The next morning Grandma & Grandpa thought they could sleep in.  Ha ha no such luck!  We sent the grandkids up to wake them up!

Since it was SOO hot we were in the water a lot!  

Hannah fell in love with Raylee's gecko.

Then it was game on for a little badminton.

Hudson also continued his love for fishing on this trip.

Then it was back to fishing!  I think Hudson would have slept on the dock if we would have let him.

Aunt Tiff is by far the best fisherwoman ever!   She told the boys use smaller hooks and some bass bait.  It worked!  She even caught a cat fish!

Hannah is our little fish.  She can swim the length of the doc and loves to push Raylee.

I think it's fair to say these two bonded quite a lot!

Then it was Jared's turn to show off his pyro skills.  He made us a fire on the hottest day ever but we did get smores!

One of the kids favorite activities was the coloring "center".  Hudson spent hours here.  So did the girls.  So cute to see them work so hard.  

It was a wonderful vacation with family!  It was so neat to see our kids play with one another so well.  We took turns on food.  We had great conversations and caught up as a family.

I'm so glad we were all able to make it!  I can't wait for our next one:).
