Disneyland

Arriving at our hotel in Anaheim late afternoon, we all opted for another nap, but as we settled in Huddy got some Thomas time:).

Then it was off to Disneyland!  It was nice to get one early afternoon/evening there and then 2 full days. Disneyland is awesome because you can bring in your own food/water and now the parking is easier.  They have an whole garage now (instead of the long, never-ending parking lot) where a tram takes you to and from.  It's now easy to enter and exit the park, plus the tram was Huddy's high light:).

Then we entered Disneyland, ah such sweet memories!  I love walking into the park to the train station and Mickey Mouse flowers.  Our first ride was Pirates of the Caribbean, a favorite of the families.  Hudson liked it too.  They added some Johnny Depp characters to the ride based off the movie.  I loved the ride and the new additions.  Hudson didn't mind the drops or the sprays of water.  Then we headed to Adventure Island and did the Jungle Cruise which has fake animals but the drivers are so sarcastic, we laughed and so did Huddy even though he didn't know what was going on:).

Then it was off to Fantasy Land where we rode the Storyland ride.  It's this little boat that talks about majority of the Disney movies like Aladdin, Alice In Wonderland, The Little Mermaid, etc.  Huddy was getting tired so I bought him a neon light necklace and boy did it entertain him, and Uncle Joe!

Day 2: We were back in the magical kingdom and we headed back to Fantasy Land for some of our favorite rides.  First a picture in front of the castle.  Uncle Joe took off Monday to hang out with us in Disneyland and it was fun to have a local show us all the tricks.

Another favorite ride was Toad's Wild Ride for us growing up.  He had fun waiting in line and playing.  This was not a favorite of Hudson's because it's quite jerky in movements and he was not in the mood:(.  We made it through but the whole time he kept saying "all done now."

Then I saw Kasey the Train, I knew he would enjoy that ride..and he did!!!!

Since my boy was starting to enjoy Disneyland now, we went to see Mickey.

He didn't enjoy waiting in the line and when we saw Mickey he said, "All done Mickey, Minne Mouse."  Ha.  So we went and saw Minnie Mouse.  Then we went on the big train which circles all around Disneyland to get back to the entrance for nap time.  Huddy made a friend waiting:).

After nap we hit up some ice cream...mmm!  The best advice someone told me was to bring your own stroller.  I'm so glad we did b/c it had a food tray, he could lay down on it so I could change him, and it was easy to navigate amongst the crowds.

Most of all, Hudson loved playing with Uncle Joe.  Joe makes the funniest sounds, noises and boy do we laugh with him!  He suggested that we hit the World of Color in California Adventure and it was phenomenal.  Its this color show with water and it recaps all the Pixar/Disney films in it.  So good!  Hudson was captivated at it started @ 9:20pm!  He was such a trooper and was definitely feeling much better.

The biggest hit of all was the carousel.  In California Adventure, there was a sea carousel and I didn't know how he would like it but pictures tell it all!!

He liked it so much we did it 3 times in a row...in the line he tried to escape:).

Day 3:  Uncle Joe was back to work so it was just the 5 of us.  So off we were on the tram.  Huddy loved looking for the pictures of Mickey, Goofy, and Pluto as the tram drove us to the Plaza.  Mommy & Nana rode Indiana Jones while Papa and Daddy took Huddy to the Tiki Room where birds sing.  Hudson will sing every once in a while "Tiki Tiki"; they sing this song "In the Tiki, Tiki, Tiki, Tiki, Tiki Room" with birds.  So cute!

We ended our day in California Adventure while Papa & Daddy rode the Tower of Terror twice Mommy & Nana went to its a Bug's Life.  Cars is coming this summer so we might have to go back soon!!!!  Hudson would love that!!!

Joe met Nana & Papa for dinner to celebrate his 23rd birthday and we got to do some family time alone in Disneyland.  We went and rode some of Huddy's favorites: the Jungle Cruise, Kasey the Train, and we watched part of Fantasia.  We ended the night meeting Papa at the tram.  It was late, around 10pm, and Huddy was so happy b/c he was getting to ride the tram again!

This picture above shows how much my family loves their Huddy.  Thank you Nana & Papa for a wonderful trip.  We had so much fun and we are so lucky to visit Uncle Joe and take Hudson on his first trip together.  Let's do it again, soon:).
